CFP: Sound Studies Section Sponsored Panel for SEM 2026

The Sound Studies Section invites applications for panel sponsorship for the upcoming 2026 SEM Annual Meeting, taking place in Bloomington, Indiana, November 5-8. If you have a sound studies-related panel already formed, or are an individual paper looking to join with others to form a panel, please submit abstracts to the Sound Studies Section at semsoundstudies@gmail.com by Wednesday, February 25, 2026. We will notify selected panels of their status shortly. If you would like to submit for a panel, please send both the panel abstract and individual abstracts. You can also visit our website for submission details. 

We will review the proposals and communicate with you prior to the SEM submission deadline of Monday, March 2, 2026, 11:59 p.m. EST. Sound Studies Section sponsorship does not guarantee the acceptance of proposals in the 2026 SEM Annual Meeting Program. For more information on submission guidelines, see here. All sponsored panels/abstracts must follow SEM submission guidelines, including for length.
