Pedagogical Resources
The "Sound Studies in the Curriculum" is a professional development workshop during the society's annual meeting. It aims to foster an open exchange and conversation about how scholars and teachers have integrated Sound Studies concepts, theories, and techniques into their classrooms. This can include discussions about designing specific Sound Studies courses; incorporating modules on Sound Studies into established courses, such as Research Methods, Media Studies, Global Music, or Music History; or any other topic related to how Sound Studies can meaningfully find home within an (ethno)music(ological) curriculum.
