Join Our Membership!

Membership of the Sound Studies Section is open to any current member of the Society for Ethnomusicology. All members may vote at annual business meetings, hold office within the Section, and vote by a viable electronic proxy. Voting confidentiality will either be maintained by the process or, in certain cases, will be made available upon request.

Alongside maintaining an active Section membership, Section membership may be attained through one or more of the following methods:

​

1.   Selecting the “Sound Studies Section” section membership option on your Society for Ethnomusicology Member Profile page.

2.   Subscription to the Sound Studies Section listserv.

3.   Paying optional dues.

      Recommended Annual Amounts:

      $10-15 for student and contingent faculty/professionals

      $20-25 for full-time faculty/professionals
