Call for Nominations: Co-Chair & Secretary, 2026-2028.

Dear SEM colleagues,

The Section's current co-chair Winnie W․ C․ Lai and secretary Sara Feili will complete their terms in November․ Nominations for the co-chair and secretary positions are now being sought․ Appointments to these two-year terms will take effect in December 2026 after a transition period․

The ideal person to serve as co-chair is a Ph.D. candidate (i.e., ABD status) or junior scholar working on ethnographic research related to the field of sound studies․ An ideal candidate should be a responsible scholar who pays attention to deadlines and is eager and capable of organizing innovative and inclusive events to promote sound studies through the Section․
