2026 SSS Call for Committee Nominations

Dear SEM Sound Studies Section Members,

The SEM Sound Studies Section is now accepting nominations (including self-nominations) for the positions of Section Co-chair and Section Member at Large. Section officers serve for a two-year term.

A description of officer responsibilities is provided below, subject to change pending a forthcoming section-wide vote on bylaw ratifications. We welcome nominations from scholars at all stages of their careers, from across institutions, and with different perspectives on sound studies. We are excited to welcome our new leadership team who will continue to grow our community (with nearly 500 members on our Google Group).  Please nominate yourself or others!
